Immigration Mental Health Evaluations for Attorneys

I collaborate with immigration attorneys to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed psychological evaluations that support humanitarian immigration cases.

My evaluations integrate clinical assessment, evidence-based psychological testing, and legally relevant documentation to clearly articulate the psychological impact of trauma, hardship, and related circumstances.

I provide thorough, objective evaluations designed to assist attorneys in presenting the psychological factors relevant to their clients' case.

Clinical Expertise & Area of Focus

My clinical focus includes complex trauma (C-PTSD), PTSD, and trauma related disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, sexual trauma, attachment-related concerns, and the psychological impact of significant life stressors and relational experiences. I specialize in trauma- informed assessment of individuals whose experiences may involve significant psychological distress, adversity, and hardship.

TRAINING & EVALUATION EXPERIENCE

​I have specialized training in immigration mental health evaluations through Georgia King, LCSW and Physicians for Human Rights, I have also gained direct experience preparing pro bono asylum evaluations through Public Counsel, in LA, CA providing trauma-informed asessessments for individuals navigating complex immigration proceedings. In my private practice, I conduct clinical assessments with individuals

 

 

Immigration Evaluation Fees & Logistics

FEES

Comprehensive Evaluation — $1,300

Includes:

  1. Clinical interviews

  2. Psychological assessment measures

  3. Attorney consultation

  4. Written evaluation report

Rush Evaluation — Additional $400

Available when expedited completion is needed.

Standard turnaround:
7–10 business days 

Rush turnaround:
3–5 business days 

EVALUATION DETAILS

Evaluations available in English. If you client requested an interpreter, this will be arranged for an additional fee.

In-person appointments in Los Angeles (in my office in 90046) or at a mutually agreed- upon LA location, or via secure telehealth throughout California.

EVALUATION PROCESS

The evaluation process includes:

Comprehensive Clinical Interview (up to 2 hours)

Focused on psychosocial history, symptoms, functioning and relevant psychosocial factors. Additional evaluation may be discussed if clinically necessary.

Trauma informed Assessment

Evaluation procedures are conducted using trauma informed interviewing practices designed to support individuals discussing difficult or sensitive experiences.

Psychological Assessment Measures

I utilize validated psychological assessment measures which may include tools such as the PHQ-9, GAD- 7 and the PCL-5. Administration and interpretation of validated psychological measures when clinically appropriate

Case Review and  Clinical Formulation

Review of relevant case information and supporting documentation

Clinical formulation connecting psychological findings to legal criteria

Comprehensive Written Report

A detailed written evaluation (typically 10-15 pages) summarizing clinical findings, diagnostic impressions, psychological impact and relevant clinical considerations.

Reports are designed to provide clear, clinically grounded documentation that assists attorneys in presenting the psychological impact of trauma, hardship, and related circumstances. Reports include diagnostic impressions, relevant psychological findings, and a clinical nexus discussion connecting evaluation findings to case-specific legal considerations.

Do you work directly with immigration attorneys?

Yes, I collaborate with attorneys throughout the evaluation process and can provide updates regarding scheduling and required documentation. 

What types of cases do you evaluate?

I provide evaluation for humanitarian immigration matters including asylum, extreme hardship waivers, U Visa, VAWA, and related cases.

Do you provide evaluations outside of Los Angeles?

Yes. Secure telehealth evaluations are available throughout California. I currently only provide evaluations for individuals who are located in CA.
